One of the most comforting and beautiful things we will ever learn in life is this:
We never have to face this life alone.
The great
Creator that gave us life is as close as a whispered prayer. He wants our fellowship and is waiting to
hear from us! He doesn’t expect a grand
oration with educated words and fancy clichés. He simply wants our hearts.
He waits to
hear our expressed gratitude for all that He has done in our lives. We need not look far at all when we consider
the many ways He has blessed our lives. He desires communion with the ones He breathed life into.
Have we thanked
Him for loving us lately? Have we expressed
our sincere love and adoration to Him for who He is? Have we told Him how much we appreciate His
beautiful creation recently? Does He
hear our sincere repentance when we’ve sinned?
Friends,
He’s available and ready to communicate with us whenever we pray! No matter the circumstances, Jesus wants to
be a part of our lives. The Bible
teaches us to “Pray without ceasing.” (1 Thessalonians 5:17) When we’re talking to Jesus on a daily basis
and sharing our lives with Him, we realize He’s so much more than simply a
Friend who listens.
He’s our
Savior! “Jesus said to him, “I am
the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through
me.” (John 14:6) No one
else holds the keys to eternal life!
He’s our
strength! “Likewise the Spirit
helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but
the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.”
(Romans 8:26) No other person or
thing can renew our soul’s strength!
He is our avenue
to forgiveness! “If we confess our
sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all
unrighteousness.” (1 John 1:9) There is no other that can wash
away our sins!
He’s our
Deliverer! “When the righteous cry
for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles.” (Psalm
34:17) When we think there is no way
out of our dilemmas, God has the solutions we never thought about!
He’s our
Provider! “And my God will supply
every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians
4:19) He is able to care for His
children!
He is everything we need!
What greater
blessing is there?
Friends, no matter what others think or say, we must never forget how blessed we are to know the blessing of prayer! What a miracle it is that the Creator of the universe would desire fellowship with us! How incredible it is that the Savior of the world would be willing to walk beside us.
He patiently helps us through our mistakes
and compassionately comforts us through our heartaches. He willingly forgives and gladly
strengthens.
What a wonderful Savior and Lord we serve!
