Don't give up! God heard your prayer.

Don't quit! God is about to do something BIG in your life. Don't give up!

God heard your prayer.

Many of us can think back to times in our lives when things weren’t so good. Maybe it was a time of great trials or one singular event that broke our hearts. It could have even been when we were struggling in our Christian walk and had fallen into sin.

It’s hard to wrap our minds completely around it, but the love of God holds the keys to whatever we are facing.

In His infinite wisdom, He didn’t overlook the other vessels around us—our brothers and sisters who are walking the same journey. He uses others for the times we need spiritual help, and he uses us for the same, when others need a spiritual boost from us.

One of the beautiful things about God is that mistakes and failures we’ve repented over do not cancel His ability to keep working. He uses our messy situations to help others who face the same types of situations. It’s one thing to hear someone say, “Oh, you’re struggling? You need to do this, this and this.” It’s much more encouraging to hear someone say, “I went through that same thing, and with God’s help, this is what I did. I’m living proof that you can come out of this situation victoriously!”

Obviously, we aren’t going to live for the moments we fail, but be encouraged that God’s ability to move doesn’t die because of those moments either. Our smallest slip-ups to our greatest mess-ups never catch God by surprise.

And so, have we allowed God to forgive us, and have we forgiven ourselves? Have we put the shame of the past behind us so we can use our experiences to help others now and in the future?

Beyond making mistakes because of sin, great loss happens to everyone in life. It’s a sad fact that we will all lose loved ones to the grave, face terminal illness, and see hardships that change people.

The world is filled with broken people.

So many have never experienced the comfort of God’s Spirit, or a relationship with the Potter who wants to put their lives back together. Do we realize how our testimony can lift another soul to a place of hope and healing? Do we know the power in the tongue that can bring life to others?
